This past weekend we had 8 players travel to the Spring Invitational in Arizona! They represented the Huskies in 6 matches against some of the most competitive teams across the country. Congratulations to Mollye Lipton, Katie Brandow, Sienna Phan, Chloe Slater, Connor Shumate, Brendan DeVoue, Kevin Doherty and Varun Penamatsa for playing some great tennis this weekend!!! Great job guys!  This past weekend our Huskies traveled to North Carolina to compete in this year's Tennis on Campus tournament and came in 15th place out of 64! This is the best our team has done and we couldn't be prouder! The first round of play Northeastern beat UPenn, University of Central Florida and University of Indiana to make it into the top bracket. In the next round of play Northeastern beat University of Miami to clinch the 15th spot. Congratulations to Adrian Davila, Adam Gerger, Nicky Chen-Schmidt, Jack Lebel, Ben Lippolis, Izzy Mozdzierz-Monico, Megan Kasetty, Lauren Trudeau, Katie Gilligan, and Casey Geddes for a great tournament!  This weekend Northeastern hosted its annual fundraiser Midnight Madness. Each year the Huskies invite other teams from across New England to a tournament to raise money for a local charity. This year the Huskies donated to the Boston Brain Tumor Ride which is an event to raise funds for brain tumor specific programs (read more about it here). Thank you to WPI, BC, Northeastern and the Boston community for supporting our fundraiser for a very worthy cause!!! This weekend our team traveled to Georgetown in DC and won the annual Duel of the Districts tournament! Casey Geddes, Megan Kasetty, Lauren Trudeau, Izzy Mozdzierz-Monico, Katie Gilligan, Adam Gerger, Adrian Davila, Ben Lippolis and Nick Chen battled some of the best teams on the east coast to win the title. Congratulations to our players for a great tournament!  Thank you so much to everyone who came to tryouts last week! The women's team is happy to welcome 9 new players!

This weekend 6 of our players traveled to UMass Lowell to scrimmage. Casey Geddes, Mollye Lipton, Chloe Slater, Megan Kasetty, David Xie and Zev Cariani did a great job representing the Huskies in the first match of the Spring season! Congrats guys! 
The mandatory information sessions for the Spring '15 semester will take place as follows:
Men's info sessions: January 14th from 8-9pm in 106 West Village G and January 15th from 8-9pm in 411 Ell Hall Women's info sessions : January 14th from 8-9pm in 22 International Village and January 15th from 8-9pm in 411 Ell Hall Each player is required to attend one of these sessions in order to tryout for the spring team. The schedule for tryouts is as follows: Men's Tryouts : January 19th and 21st from 8:30pm-10pm, Meeting time TBA Women's Tryouts : January 20th and 22nd from 8:30pm-10pm, Meeting time TBA **NOTE: Keep in mind that players must go to Weymouth courts for tryouts adding on an extra half hour of travel time each way. Players will meet outside of the Renaissance Garage on Columbus Ave. near International Village. Meeting times will be announced at the information sessions and will be postedwhen they have been decided. If you have any questions please email us! Anastasia Dementieva, Dan Accetta, Seddon Macholz, Erica Nesses, Jon Leake and Connor Shumate played together to win both of the matches! Congrats guys and keep up the good work! 
This weekend 12 of our players went to URI to play a scrimmage. The team included Mary Morabit, Tanya Welch, Mara Stegaru, Izzy Mozdzierz-Monico, Katie Gilligan, Fleur Pellet, David Xie, Jade Vanichvirulh, Jai Aslam, Rishabh Sivakumar, Milan Vidovic and Varun Penamatsa. The team was victorious in both of their matches! Congrats and great playing this weekend!
Northeastern has claimed the title of New England Sectional Champs for the second year in a row! On Saturday they defeated Bryant and Champlain for a spot in the platinum bracket. Today they beat Tufts in the quarter-finals, Harvard in the semi-finals and Dartmouth in the finals! By winning they have also earned a spot in this year's National tournament! Congratulations to Roberto Lopez, Adrian Davila, Adam Gerger, Tim Fayed, Nick Goralka, Casey Geddes, Isabella Mozdzierz-Monico, Lauren Trudeau, Rachel Ballantine and Katie Gilligan for another amazing tournament! Also a shout-out to all of the awesome fans who came to cheer on our team. We couldn't have done it without you! Here we come Nationals!!!
